This design was created as a vehicle to explore the advertising capabilities of a reality augmented software called Zappr. The software offers a small code that is placed within the design. The code is then scanned using the Zappr app. From there, an augmented reality can be seen via your smart phone.

The product was designed to capture interest with a character called Wild Rose. She is a gun toting criminal from the late 19th century with a colourful history. The character was based on a historical figure and the images are inspired by traditional tattoos. The illustrations on the bottle and in the video were created in Procreate by yours truly.

When scanned, the front label has a video creates an atmosphere. The sounds of blowing wind and gunshots sync up with the gif. When the back label is scanned a little video of “How to Recycle the Wild Rose Way” plays featuring the music of Wanda Jackson and gunshots. The video adds humour and personality to the product.
